So what kind of computers, etc. do I need to use SchoolAuction.net?

 

Glad you asked.  We strive to make sure that SchoolAuction.net plays well with others.  Here's a rundown of what you need:

To access SchoolAuction.net, you'll need:

  • A Mac, Windows, or Linux PC
  • An Internet connection - wired or wireless
  • A web browser: either Internet Explorer (version 7 or later), Firefox (version 3 or later) or Safari (version 3 or later).  We've also used it successfully on other web browsers, but we don't guarantee those.

 

If you want to use the Auction-night functions (check-in, item sales, check-out, credit card processing), you'll need to have computers and an Internet connection at the auction venue. Printers are also necessary if you want to print receipts.  We usually recommend 3 stations (laptop + printer) for events with up to 150 guests, 4 stations for events with 150-250 guests, and one additional station for every 50 guests thereafter.

You will also need one card swiper for each station, if your auction is accepting credit-cards for payment.  You can buy these or rent them (the rental cost is usually around $100 for a set of 4 for each event); contact us for more details on these.
