Hi, I’m Delila Olsson and, along with being a mother and small business owner, I am a professional volunteer and the newest member of the SchoolAuction.net team.

Professional volunteer… isn’t that an oxymoron?

If you are nodding and chuckling right now, you know exactly what I mean. Like you, I’m one of the 20% of people who do 80% of the work, because sometimes it’s easier to take on too much than it is to get somebody else to help.

I’m one of those people who, probably like you, have spent many years of my life supporting the causes that matter to me through volunteerism. I have planned and participated in more than a few fundraisers and auctions for schools my son attended as well as other meaningful causes in my community.

So I personally understand the feeling of overwhelm that can accompany the planning and execution of a successful benefit auction.

I also know what it feels like to work hard, trying to keep all the balls in the air, but not quite have the level of support to achieve the results you want. Like the other fine folks at SchoolAuction.net, I’ve learned some things along that way that I think will benefit you as well.

Whether you’re in the midst of planning your first event or are a seasoned veteran volunteer, the process can be made a lot easier when you have the right level of support. Providing that kind of support, as well as useful tips and tools for your benefit auction planning success, is what we’re up to on this Blog and at SchoolAuction.net.

I invite you to check back often. We’re in this together.

Until next time,

~Delila
